...like a dog

2 months ago, Anna Banana was spayed and she was forced to wear her Cone of Shame for 10 days.  At first, she scratched at it and accidentally skidded into walls, but after a just a few days, she stopped pawing at it and even started to use its edge to nudge me when she wanted my attention.  Not only had she adjusted to the situation, she used it to her advantage!  It made me think of these fits of angst and discomfort that we humans put ourselves through.  So often (TOO often), we refused to accept changes and make no efforts to adjust our situation.  If only we could be just a little more like a dog!

It's a good thing we take her on walks with us because the coyotes spook me a bit!
