Farewell to my D80

I just sold my first digital SLR--the one on which I'd truly learned.  I'd had lots of cameras, including a film SLR and many compact cameras of all sorts, but it was on the D80 and its accompanying 50mm, f/1.8 lens that I came make photography a part of who I am and how I see the world.

On December 1st of last year, my new body arrived and I hadn't really touched the D80 since then.  I held onto it for sentimental reasons.  But that didn't make any sense after a while so it's moved on to a family who might be able to make it a part of their lives and part of how they see and remember their world.

It's bittersweet.
