An addiction

I have a serious volunteerism problem.

At both kids' schools, there is a minimum number of volunteer hours required for each academic year.  A1 has been in school for 5 days.  I have completed this year's requirement.  See?  It's a problem.

Unrelated photos of the boys at a friend's birthday party this summer follow--I'm not sure how pleased A2 was to be at a princess party!

That princess party looks awesome. I mean, there's a prince there!!! Right, and the princess is pretty, too.

I love the matching outfits and the bored look on A2's face. He does light up with the body painting, though.

When I meet them, please have paints ready!

I don't think he's annoyed by the princess as much as he's merely wondering when the heck the bouncer is getting rolled out...never in the case of this party!

...and I kept thinking about the prince and princess's poor parents sent them to acting school only to have them host chn's bday parties!

Hey, it's a job! They could be waiting on tables instead. At least they're in character and practicing, right?

I remember in Drama class, one of the coveted jobs was to work at Disney as a character. :)

I think if they did it forever and didn't get a gig doing "real" acting, then it'd be kinda disappointing.

I'm so cruel--much like teasing the Queen's Guards, I kept harassing them so that they would break character. They never did!! They were actually so sweet; strangely, they were *exactly* what I would imagine meeting a real life Disney prince and princess would be like.
