Weekend review

We started on Friday with a little play in the yard. A1 is wearing his firefighter gear almost constantly these days.

Then we headed off to an egg hunt at a county regional park where there were those fabulous cutout photo ops I love so much.

The hunt itself was wonderful and low-key because the kids were grouped by age. A2 was a little nervous about collecting the eggs...

but A1 was a pro about it, picking up with one hand while simultaneously searching for his next target.

All in all, it was nice time for the boys to hang with their dad.

Then we went to a playdate, came back home to dig a little, and called it a day.

On Saturday, we went to a fun birthday party that had lots of little critters. A2 was particularly enamored of the ladybugs.
weekend11

On Sunday, we headed off to the free day at the museum.
weekend12

We were an hour too early for the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival so we headed off to their hands-on children's annex a few blocks away. Even the building facade was fun.

The inside was even more exciting because they got to try on costumes and masks and play instruments from around the world. I think they liked the art project best.

Wow, now I need a weekend to rest up and recover from our weekend!

It looks like you had a nice, packed weekend. By the looks of your pictures, the kiddos sure enjoyed themselves. (And I'd say dad did, too.) :)
